Dried fruit

DRIED FRUIT

Dried fruits are commonly used in Ayurvedic recipes. Raisins, dates, figs, pineapple, papaya, bananas, mango, melon, apples, pears, apricots, strawberries, coconut, plums, blueberries, currants, even ginger root can have a wide variety of attractive food uses, some of them unusual.

SWEETS

Dried fruit, whole or cut into large or small pieces, is usually used in sweets, being added to cakes, muffins, cakes, fresh fruit salads or even homemade ice cream. Imagine-you a vanilla ice cream with big chunks of candied pineapple in it! Mmm...

So all these dried fruits, be they pineapple chunks, papaya, melon, figs or raisins, chopped into smaller or larger pieces, can be added to fresh fruit juices prepared in a blender. What do you think of the prospect of fresh apple juice, prepared in a blender, to which you add pieces of dried strawberries or sweet and tangy pieces of ginger? Or how about some sliced dried apples, or chunks of apricots, figs or pineapple added to crispy shortbread or biscuits or shortbread, of the most varied and delicious kind. Dried cherries or strawberries can usually be used to decorate the finest cookies.

BREAKFAST

But almost any dried fruit can be the perfect ingredient for a quick breakfast or even a sweet snack that you want to prepare as quickly as possible. Why not, dried fruit can be eaten as it is, straight away, without any other additions. For example, two biscuits and a slice of pineapple, or a few pieces of dried strawberries can make an excellent dessert. A large slice of dried papaya with a slice of cake or a slice of cheesecake is both tasty and filling. N-would be good for breakfast?

CEREAL DISHES

Currently, dried fruits such as raisins, pineapple, dates and figs are easy to use with oatmeal or other cereal flakes or musli. They can also be included in custard pies, used to garnish tarts or added to soft drinks or cocktails.

SALADS WITH DRIED FRUIT

Slightly sour dried fruits (raisins, apricots, pineapples, currants) can also be added to green salads. They can also be used in mushroom dishes, omelettes or cooked cereal dishes (porridge). They can be used in some fresh vegetable salads, in making sauces, in garnishes or in grain or vegetable dishes. Raisins, figs, dates, ginger root or dried pears can be used to make excellent rice sautés or vegetable stir-fries. So dried fruit is an ingredient that should not be missing from aa kitchen in which healthy taste creativity can be expressed unhindered.
