AYURVEDA CONTEST 2018

THE PROGRAMME OF COMPETITION TESTS

SATURDAY, 10 FEBRUARY 2018, starting at 12.45 pm, the INTERNATIONAL AYURVEDA COMPETITION 2018 will take place in unison in several localities in Romania and other countries.

In Bucharest, this competition will take place at the OBOR training room, 16 Oteșani Street, sector 2.

Registration can be done directly at the halls where the competition is organised and also by email.

The 2018 Ayurveda competition is open to all those who wish to test their knowledge of Ayurveda, both Ayurveda course students and graduates who already have some knowledge of Ayurveda or people who are not currently attending Ayurveda courses but have a minimum knowledge of Ayurveda.

The competition rounds will be broadcast live on the on-MISA line®Sensational-TV: http://misatv.ro/live/ on Saturday, February 10, 2018, from 1:30 - 6:15 pm.

The International Ayurveda Competition 2020 consists of 6 specific tests, each with several papers, which test the mastery of the three main types of ways of knowing that are described within the millenary tradition of the Ayurveda system, namely: theoretical knowledge (suitable), knowledge through perception (pratyaksha) and knowledge by inference (anumana).

Ayurveda Contest 2018 winners to be awarded during Yogic Spiritual Holiday Camp activities® of Herculaneum 2018.

In tests 1 and 3, participants can choose the type of form they wish to complete from among the followinga numbered series 1-A, 1-B, 1-C, 1-D, 1-E AND 1-F and 3- respectivelyA, 3-B, 3-C, 3-D, 3-E AND 3-F according to the bibliography covered and according to the level of preparation. Each participant can choose 1, 2 or 3 tests of different types (A, B, C, D, E, F) to be answered within the allocated time.

In the case of live on-line will only be accessible during the indicated interval for forms 1-A and 3-A.

In tests 2, 4, 5 and 6 there is only one form for all participants. Even those who are not currently taking Ayurveda courses can take part in these tests if they wish.

Registration for the Ayurveda Competition 2018 tests is done both at the beginning, from 1:00 pm to13.30, for all tests, live in the rooms where the competition is held and separately, even if only for some of the 6 tests, during the breaks before the tests. Registrations can also be received by e-mailmail to ayurveda@amnromania.robefore the start of that test.

NOTICE ON BIBLIOGRAPHY AND PROCEDURE

On Saturday, 10 February 2018, starting at 12.45 p.m., the International Ayurveda Competition 2018 will be held in unison in several locations in Romania and other countries.

The competition rounds will be broadcast live on the on-MISA line®Sensational-TV: http://misatv.ro/live/ on Saturday 10 February 2018, between 13:30 and 18:15.

Tests 1 and 3 will be given in groups of participants, according to the bibliography indicated, and the differentiation will be made using codes A, B, C, D, E, F. In the on-line to competition of Ayurveda 2018, only type A will be available for samples 1 and 3.

13:45-14:15 Test 1 (30 minutes): Ayurvedic Knowledge Test (suitable)

15:15-15:45 Test 3 (30 minutes): Ayurvedic Knowledge and Intelligence Test (apt-anumana)

Test 1: Ayurvedic Knowledge Test (suitable) – contains 23 questions with three possible answers. Please note that in test 1, only one of the three possible choices in the statement is correct. The variant that is considered correct (only one) will be circled. No corrections or erasures are allowed. Each answer variant identified as correct is awarded 100 marks, so that 300 marks are awarded for each correctly answered question. 100 points are awarded for participation, so that the maximum total of 7000 points can be obtained as follows 7000 = 100 + 23 x 3 x 100.

ATTENTION! Between 13:45-14:15 tests will be offered such as 1-A, 1-B, 1-C, 1-D, 1-E and 1-F. Each participant can choose to answer 1, 2 or 3 tests of different types within this range. In the ranking by group of participants only the tests corresponding to the group will be taken into account, and the one with the highest score will be taken into account among those that correspond.

Test 3: Ayurvedic Knowledge and Intelligence Test (apt-anumana) – contains 23 questions with three possible answers. Please note that in test 3, either one answer choice, two answer choices, all three answer choices or none of the three listed in that question can be correct. The variants considered correct will be circled. No corrections or erasures will be allowed. If none of the variants in the statement is considered correct, none will be circled. Each answer variant identified as correct is awarded 100 marks, so that 300 marks are awarded for each correctly answered question. 100 points are awarded for participation, so that the maximum total of 7000 points can be calculated as 7000 = 100 + 23 x 3 x 100.

BIBLIOGRAPHY ASSOCIATED WITH THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF TESTS: A, B, C, D, E

TYPE A TEST. Code tests 1-A and 3-A contains information contained in the Ayurveda courses section Dosha-Prakriti, edition 2003-2004, from number 1 to number 21, inclusive, or those in section Dosha-Prakriti, edition 2011-2012, from number 1 to number 32 inclusive.

TYPE B TEST. Code tests 1-B and 3-B contain information that is contained in the Ayurveda courses section Dosha-Prakriti, edition 2003-2004, from number 26 to number 48 inclusive, or those in section Dosha-Prakriti, edition 2011-2012, from number 33 to 42 inclusive and the Ayurveda courses in the section Svasthavritta, from the 2011-2012, from number 1 to number 12 inclusive.

TYPE C TEST. Code tests 1-C and 3-C contain information contained in the Ayurveda courses in the section Svasthavritta, edition 2003-2004, from 1 to 22 inclusive or from the Svasthavritta, edition 2011-2012, from number 14 inclusive to number 30 inclusive.

TYPE D TEST. Code tests 1-D and 3-D contains information that is contained in the Ayurveda courses in the section Dravyaguna, edition 2015-2016, with numbers from 1 to 15 and 27 to 35.

TYPE E TEST. Code tests 1-E and 3-E contains information that is contained in the Ayurveda courses in the section Manasa-Jnana, edition 2016-2017, with numbers from 1 to 15 inclusive.

TYPE F TEST. Code tests 1-F and 3-F contains information that is contained in the Ayurveda courses in the section Rasayana, edition 2015-2017, with numbers from 1 to 34 inclusive.

TYPE G TEST. Tests with 1-G and 3-G contains information that is contained in the Ayurveda courses in the section Pravritti-Jnana, chapter Raksha-Viddhi, 2017 edition, with numbers from 1 to 10 inclusive.

TYPE H TEST. Code tests 1-H and 3-H contains information that is contained in the Ayurveda courses in the section Nidana-Sthana, chapter Parikshakrama, 2017 edition, with numbers from 1 to 12 inclusive.

OVERALL RANKINGS BY STUDY GROUP

In the Ayurveda Competition 2018 the overall rankings will be done according to 4 study groups, namely: groups 01-02, groups 03-06, groups 07-15 and groups 16-24.

In tests 1 and 3, participants can choose 1, 2 or 3 tests from those indicated for the competition group to which they belong. The test with the highest score among those chosen by each participant will be taken into account in the overall group ranking. The choice of the type of tests (A, B, C, D, E, F, G or H) or the choice of their number (1, 2 or 3) need not be similar for test 1 in relation to test 3.

GROUP 01-02: In tests 1 and 3 participants will be able to choose 1, 2 or 3 tests from the section Dosha-Prakriti (test A or test B) or from section Svasthavritta (test B or test C).

GROUP 03-06: In tests 1 and 3 participants will be able to choose 1, 2 or 3 tests from the section Svasthavritta (test B or test C) or from section Dravyaguna (test D).

GROUP 07-15: In tests 1 and 3 participants will be able to choose 1, 2 or 3 tests from the section Svasthavritta (test C), from section Dravyaguna (test D) in section Manasa-Jnana (test E) or from section Pravritti-Jnana, chapter Raksha-Viddhi (test G).

GROUP 16-24: In tests 1 and 3 participants will be able to choose 1, 2 or 3 tests from the section Manasa-Jnana (test E), from section Pravritti-Jnana, chapter Raksha-Viddhi (test G), from section Nidana-Stahana, chapter Parikshakrama (test H) or from section Rasayana, chapter Niramaya (F-test).

In tests 1 and 3, each participant can choose additional tests, apart from those corresponding to his or her competition group, the result of which will be taken into account in the specific rankings.

SPECIFIC RANKINGS BY TEST TYPE

These specific rankings are narrow rankings by test type, in which those with the highest scores in each of the specific tests in the competition will be awarded.

In tests 1 and 3 of the Ayurveda Competition 2018, specific narrow rankings will be made for each test type (A, B, C, D, E, F, G or H).

In test 1 there are specific rankings: 1-A, 1-B, 1-C, 1-D, 1-E, 1-F, 1-G AND 1-H.

In test 3 there are specific rankings: 3-A, 3-B, 3-C, 3-D, 3-E, 3-F, 3-G AND 3-H.

For the specific rankings, the participation group will not be taken into account. For example, a participant from groups 16-24 can also answer the 1-A in the time slot allocated to test 1, so it will compete with everyone else in this specific ranking for test 1-A.

Similarly, a participant from groups 03-06 can answer in the time allocated to test 3 and test 3G and will thus be able to participate in the specific ranking for test 3G.

For the other four tests of the 2020 Ayurveda Competition, i.e. tests 2, 4, 5 and 6, specific rankings will be made and all participants will be included.

In test 2 there will be specific ranking 2, in test 4 there will be specific ranking 4, in test 5 there will be specific ranking 5 and in test 6 there will be specific ranking 6.
