🌱 Detailed classification of foods according to the three maha-gunas

General notions about the three fundamental tendencies of nature, the maha-gunas: sattva, rajas and tamas. Detailed classification of foods according to the three maha-gunas. A conscious way of eating involves careful choice of ingredients for a predominantly sattva-ic nutrition.

🍎 Food selection according to taste (breed)

Extensive description of the 6 basic tastes that are important in nutrition, with detailed examples of ingredients. Effects of overuse of each of the 6 tastes (rasa) on internal organs and prevailing states in consciousness. Generally recommended tastes for each constitutional type: vata-prakriti, pitta-prakriti, kapha-prakriti.

The three possibilities of action of a food on the 3 doshas that make up each human structure. Foods recommended for vata-prakriti, pitta-prakriti, kapha-prakriti. Foods not recommended for vata-prakriti, pitta-prakriti, kapha-prakriti.
